About
The History of Dancers Edge
Dancers Edge was established in June of 2012 by Brandon & Sabrina Irvine, the goal of the establishment was to provide a place where dancers could grow and develop in a fun and safe environment. In the fall of 2019, Dancers Edge was passed on to Zach & Amy Bertram who share the same vision of what Dancers Edge should be.
Dancers Edge is committed to the safety and success of every dancer that walks through our doors. We have made it our utmost priority to create a welcoming atmosphere that can be felt in all aspects of the studio. We believe a dance studio should be a place where both dancers and parents want to spend their time. Where dancers and parents can build lasting quality relationships. As a company we are committed to and strive to provide a place where dancers can realize their full potential and pursue excellence both in and outside of the studio.
We believe that a dance studio should be a place where, students want to spend their time where they make lasting friendships and develop self confidence. One of my biggest hopes in opening this studio is to encourage team building and support through both our recreational and competitive dancers.
Dancers Edge offers classes to student’s ages 2.5 + and offers a variety of class levels to meet various needs. We currently offer: Tap, Ballet, Jazz, Hip-Hop, Lyrical, Contemporary, Modern, Musical Theater, and Pointe. Dancers Edge offers both recreational and competitive opportunities with the capacity to offer examinations through CDTA.
Our talented group of instructors bring years of experience and performance to the studio and we trust that you will be thoroughly impressed with our programming and distinguished reputation.

Miss Carolyn grew up in Saskatoon Saskatchewan and began dancing at 7 years old. While
learning dance she found her passion for hip hop as well as modern and musical theatre.
Taking drama classes at camps and in university drew a further connection to these passions.
She comes from a family of dancers, both parents taught and competed in ballroom dance, and
was exposed to the world of dance from her early childhood.
The role of student then transitioned into teacher while learning from her modern mentor and
realizing the joy she found in helping young dancers on their journey to improve both their
dance skills as well as personal growth in confidence, independence, leadership, and
compassion. This passion for dance has lead to students to achieve their goals as well as
receiving awards and honours for most outstanding and choreography. She has guest
choreographed for schools and camps, as well as taken part in a music video. Miss Carolyn
continues to push herself in both online classes and in person workshops. Currently, she is
working towards certifications in CDTA modern branch.
Miss Carolyn philosophy for teaching dance is that regardless of your age or skill level when beginning your dance journey, the personal goals we set will always outweigh any medals or
awards. She is very excited to get the chance to work with the students and faculty at Dancer
Edge.
